Every patients has different health goals, medical needs and expectations. During your consultation, we will review your medical history, lifestyle, and surgical options in order to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for you.

Whenever possible, minimally invasive techniques are used to support recovery and patients comfort.

Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive technique in which the abdominal cavity is accessed through small incisions. A camera and specialized instruments are used to perform the procedure while allowing visualization of the abdominal organs.

Payments may be made by cash, credit card, or bank transfer.

For international patients?

Virtual consultations are conducted through Zoom prior to surgery in order to discuss treatment options, preparation and recovery expectations.

Yes. Patients traveling from outside Guadalajara may complete their initial virtual consultations prior to arrival.

An in-person medical evaluation will also take place upon arrival before surgery.

Returning to Guadalajara after surgery is not always necessary. Virtual follow-up communication and recovery guidance may be available when appropriate.

However, some patients may benefit from additional in-person evaluations depending on their individual recovery process.

During your consultation, you will receive instructions regarding the preoperative studies required prior to surgery. Some patients may choose to complete these tests in their home city before traveling to Mexico, while others may prefer to have them coordinated locally upon arrival.

Most patients are advised to arrive at least one day before surgery to allow time for preoperative preparation and any necessary in-person evaluations.

Recovery times may vary depending on the procedure performed and each patient’s individual progress. In many cases, patients are able to travel back home approximately 2 days after surgery.

Patients who undergo less invasive procedures, such as intragastric balloon placement, may often travel sooner.

Post op

Most patients recover within 7 to 14 days.
Alcohol intake should be avoided during the early postoperative period and resumed only after medical clearance.
Weight regain can occur after surgery if healthy lifestyle habits and long-term follow-up are not maintained. Nutrition, physical activity, and ongoing support are essential for long-term success.
Long-term follow-up plays an important role in achieving lasting success after bariatric surgery. International patients are encouraged to continue routine medical care with their local healthcare providers after returning home.

Following surgery, the postoperative diet progresses gradually over several weeks to allow proper healing and adaptation.

Patients usually begin with a liquid diet, followed by soft foods, before transitioning to a regular balanced diet according to their surgeon’s and nutrition team’s recommendations.

Patients are generally advised to avoid carbonated beverages, sugary drinks, and highly processed foods after surgery. Dietary recommendations may vary depending on the procedure and recovery progress.
Yes. Pregnancy after surgical weight loss procedures is generally considered safe. However, most patients are advised to wait approximately 12-18 months after surgery before trying to conceive.
